Primary Lesson and Horse Riding

Today in church our girls learned about missionaries and they both took it to heart. After church they were dressed in their missionary best carrying their scriptures everywhere teaching missionary lessons. Sid needs a few lessons on what a tie is actually for, she ended up sucking and gnawing on my tie so that it may or may not be usable in the future. It was rather fun to see them take their lesson so seriously and get very excited about missionary work. Actually Grace is convinced that she wants to go on a mission now.

We also experienced a true dilemma this week that was averted with Uncle Larry's help. A friend from church invited Sid to her birthday party, this friend has an older sister that is Grace's age. At first, we thought the invite was for both so Grace was told that she would get to go. When we realized our mistake we didn't know what to do because not only was it a birthday party but they were going to get to go on a pony ride. Of course, Grace was super excited and would be heart broken if she couldn't go. I was able to arrange it so that Larry would let us ride his horse. Grace and I went on a special date to go and ride. We had a great time. She was able to brush and feed the horses. Then we went on a walk up and down the drive way many times. Grace wouldn't have left unless I made her. She thought it was awesome at how many animals Larry had. Afterwards we went to the gas station to fuel up and get a treat. I actually let Grace help me on the whole gas pumping process which she thought was super cool. Anyway enjoy the pictures.

That is sooo cool that you took her to see larry's horses and animals. That was always one of my favorite parts of the sidwell family christmas parties at their house, being able to see the animals and the horses and such! :) She is growing up fast... crazy!!
